ALERT - a lightening strike has hit a power pole along folly road, between Oak Island and Little Oak. Power is out on the island and both lanes of folly are closed until further notice.
Fire in the area of 200 Block of East Hudson. Please avoid the area.

The City of Folly Beach administrative offices (City Hall) will be closed again tomorrow, Thursday, January 4th due to icy roadway conditions. Normal operations are anticipated to resume Friday, but we are monitoring conditions and will advise if further closings are needed.
Folly bridges are now open. For the time being. Driving is discouraged. Thank you.
