At the high-level side event “Transforming Wheat Landscapes for Sustainable Food Systems: The FOLUR Experience from Uzbekistan”, hosted by @FAO, participants discussed how sustainable agriculture, land restoration and biodiversity conservation can come together to support more resilient food systems.

The first phase of the second PILA Multi-Stakeholder Workshop under the @FAO led @theGEF-funded @FOLURimpact Nigeria Project rounds off today in Calabar, Cross River State.

Over the past days, stakeholders from government, communities, private sector, and academia have advanced dialogue and collaboration on Integrated Landscape Management (ILM); promoting more sustainable approaches to land use, ecosystem restoration, climate resilience, and food systems transformation in Nigeria through the PILA approach.

The workshop was formally declared open by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan-Enoh, on Monday, 5 May. The second phase of the workshop will hold in Akure, Ondo State, from May 12–15.
