Notice of the 3rd Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting
The third meeting of the Project Steering Committee (PSC) is scheduled to hold on 13th April in Abuja, FCT.
Hosted by the GEF Secretariat at the Federal Ministry of Environment, the PSC serves as a critical oversight body, ensuring robust governance, strategic guidance, and accountability for the @theGEF@FOLURimpact Nigeria Project.
The 2-days MSP meeting held in Calabar, Cross River State, brought together MDAs, private sector partners, and NGOs across the AFOLU sector.
Discussions focused on creating a unified platform for communication, collaboration, and strategic networking among stakeholders.
A key agenda was aligning all partners with the State’s development priorities and roadmap, in line with the project’s broader vision.
Engagements like this continue to strengthen partnerships, enhance coordination, and establish a central hub for driving sustainable development across the state.
The @FAO PILA-supported 2nd Geospatial Training (16–20 March) was a huge success!
Our predominantly young participants gained stronger skills for sustainable land-use planning and implementation across the Niger Delta.

Day two of the ongoing MAPATHON training pushed things further, as participants gained hands-on skills in detecting and interpreting land use changes using Google Earth and a suite of geospatial tools.
