Yesterday I did one of my expert consulting calls.

I charge $500/hr.

The call lasted 66 mins so they sent me $550.

It was not the 1st, 2nd or 100th time I have gotten on one of those calls but this hit differently.

How did I become someone people pay $500 an hour for just to pick my brain on this or that?

Even after retirement, Ronaldinho is still making money from Nike. Damn.

This is how much Nike means to him. In his documentary, when he was going to leave Gremio as a youngster, the choice of club in Europe also depended if the club was a NIKE-sponsored club.

Ronaldinho was becoming the face of Brazil and Nike were the sponsors of the Brazilian National team also, he didn’t want to lose that, so his brother, who doubled as his manager made sure the club Ronaldinho signed for was a Nike club, and that’s how he landed in PSG.

Let me add one more interesting part. Sandro Rosell worked for NIKE in Brazil, so he knew Ronaldinho from the National Team, Sandro Rosell moved to Barcelona to work with Joan Laporta in his first spell as a president. He later became Vice President.

Sandro Rosell was the first person to convince Ronaldinho to join Barcelona as per their Nike connection, but there was a condition. Ronaldinho will only join “if” Joan Laporta wins the election.

Laporta won the presidential election in June 2003, Ronaldinho kept his word and joined in July 2003.
