When the citizens start complaining, they will pretend to be tough on immigration, fully understanding they caused the problems.

I got so tired trying to explain this to people 😭 30 degrees in Africa is an ENTIRELY different experience to 30 degrees in a place where all the infrastructure is built to retain heat and there is no air conditioning anywhere

Had the privilege of presenting my research into the experiences of IMG GP Registrars with the final GP exam at the BJGP.

IMGs make up around 50% of GP Registrars, its only right their experiences are duly represented in literature so that policy can change where needed.

So my takeaways are,

1. If we have a disability we don’t have to apologize when we harm people.
2. You can’t be racist if you have a disability.
3. As a Black person I should have an unlimited capacity of empathy, grace and understanding while receiving none.
4. Impact of our actions don’t matter as long as that wasn’t our intention.

Scrapping the equality act doesn’t only affect ethnic minorities btw, it negatively affects everyone. I need people to educate themselves on what the nine protected characteristics consists of. Those things will at some point affect EVERYONE, to varying obviously, but alas.

The probelm with introducing stricter & stricter visa eligibility criteria...

Is you inevitably have to start introducing loopholes, exceptions & bespoke schemes for all the parts of the labour force that would collapse without immigrants.

Care workers were promised settled status after 5 years. You are saying they will now wait an additional 15. FIFTEEN!!
