One of the most famous behind-the-scenes moments from The Godfather (1972), with Robert Duvall holding cue cards for Marlon Brando during a scene to help him remember his lines.
“I’m sure his dream at this time was to become a professional soccer player.”
Timothee Chalamet is a candidate for the Academy Award for Best Actor.
But before all that, there was a love of football, games against a current Premier League champion and a friendship with an MLS star.

In the 96th minute, 3-2 up against Real Madrid, Jose Mourinho and his Benfica didn't 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 they needed to score again to make it into the knockout round of the Champions League.
They were wasting time. Mourinho had subbed off his front four. Then someone on the Benfica bench realised and they started screaming their players on.
They got a free-kick, way out on the right and the clocked edged towards the 98th minute. The coaches waved at Anatoliy Trubin, their goalkeeper, to get up into the Real Madrid penalty area.
The classic Hail Mary. The desperation move. It never works.
But... it did. The cross went in. The world slowed down. Trubin jumped and made some contact, any kind of contact. And somehow the ball went in.
This bit of Lisbon turned into a mass of bodies, limbs, emotions. Trubin ran back in that way goalkeepers do when they’ve scored a goal: they have no idea what to do, because they’ve never done it before.
The look on his face was astonishment, almost confusion.

👏Félicitations @Vrdfr_ pour cette analyse approfondie des difficultés de Gyokeres. Ça parle technique de duels, complexité des appels de balle et d'autres choses. Du sérieux, du fond, du foot.

It has been an unsettling pattern: European teams go to France and report harsh treatment from French police - from tear gas to pepper spray, kettling to strict restrictions on fans travelling to stadiums.
Newcastle United, Manchester United and Crystal Palace all had issues in 2025, with Liverpool the latest club to visit tomorrow, for a game at Marseille.
But why have there been so many problems? And what is being done about it?

The scoreline will forever read Macclesfield 2-1 Crystal Palace — the greatest-ever upset in the FA Cup's 155-year history.
Managed by Wayne Rooney's brother John, 117 places separated Macclesfield from the Premier League side and cup holders, but it didn't deter them.
Victory was also a fitting tribute to Ethan McLeod, their 21-year-old striker who was killed in a car accident while driving home from a game last month.
This is the inside story of their win, featuring bandages, tractors and a club driven by grief.
