@natacouk Thanks very much for the donation for our 15th Birthday celebration.
We fed 40 guests and 15 volunteers last night and a good time was had by all.
FoodCycle's 15th birthday party tomorrow (Wednesday).
Hope to see you there.
Thanks to all the businesses that have donated food or raffle items - there's still time if you'd like to.
@TheWeeDonkey@LFHW_UK@MoneySavingExp@WRAP_UK The recommendation for potatoes changed recently.
From FSA
"A recent study has shown that home storage of potatoes in the fridge doesn’t materially increase acrylamide forming sugars, known as cold sweetening, when compared to storage in a cool, dark place."
Any Bath foodie people able to help with a food donation for our 15th birthday celebration next week please ?
Even if you can't, maybe you could retweet this please ?
We can talk and talk and talk about how great volunteering with us is.
Instead, we'll let these smiling faces speak for themselves 🙂

What are volunteer cooks doing at FoodCycle?
In addition to food tasting, our volunteer cooks have fun brainstorming menu ideas, prepping food, and portioning food together. Here comes the best part: NO experience is needed.
Are you a university student looking for a fun volunteering opportunity outside of your study?
Meet Iyanu, currently a chemical engineering student at the University of Bath, who shared his feelings about volunteering at FoodCycle!
Katie, our first-time cook volunteer from last week’s session, told us she volunteered at FoodCycle because she cares about sustainability, and we think that’s great.
Comment below and tell us about your amazing experience volunteering at FoodCycle!

A big thank you to Project Leader Matthew and his team of volunteers who attended 3SG's volunteer fair on Friday and helped spread awareness of FoodCycle's amazing volunteer opportunities. We also did a "guess the weight of the marrow" that Matthew had grown especially for it!
Last week's menu was a summery delight!
- Cheesy roasted rice stuffed marrow with sautéed greens
- Carrot, bean & lentil curry with roasted potatoes, rice and sweet’n’sour pickled cabbage and cucumber with a coconut milk drizzle.
- Brioche bread and butter pudding with fruit.
