Year 7 made afternoon tea for lunch club this week. It prompted a heated discussion on how to pronounce the word “scone”. Does it rhyme with “cone” or “gone”?
Oops, made that look as though it was Mr Masters who’s gone & cut himself on wok! Not guilty. In fact, hero who saved day with the @DofE_grange cutting. Very fine cutting it was too. @Food_Grange@Enrich_Grange@Grange_Cheshire. First aid practice ready for expedition!
Soothing recipe with Yr 9 @DofE_grange cookery course, poached pears and choc sauce, in 30 mins. After my fight with the wok last wk, we were all very relieved to come out of it so smoothly. Who knew you could cut yourself on a wok? @Grange_Cheshire@Food_Grange@Enrich_Grange
Just one page, from the 126 pages, of Unity’, collection of recipes by pupils in yrs 7&8 in in the first lockdown, available to order tomorrow! A stonking good read, and you won’t be able to resist cooking some of them too! @Food_Grange @grange @Enrich_Grange @CommunityGrange

Love that use as an ingredient Mr Rands and Mrs Ruddick! And how far acceptability of eating insects has come since Yr 6 eat them whole in 2016! Long may it continue. @Food_Grange@Grange_Cheshire@Juniors_Grange
As Year 6 start learning about Entomophagy (the practice of eating insects), Mr Rands samples one of Mrs Ruddick’s delicious Locust Cupcakes made with ground locust flour and topped with a garnish of locust 🐜 🐛 @ScienceGrange@Grange_Cheshire

Learning how to test whether our muffins are cooked or not using a skewer. These muffins were a healthier version using less sugar but tinned fruit as a substitute #baking#muffins#GBBO
We were honoured to have olive oil direct from Vid’s grandmother in Croatia made from homegrown olives, in the pizza practical with 8CXW last week. Well done Vid. We love that. @Food_Grange@Grange_Cheshire
Fougasse with @DofE_grange yr 9s yesterday. Not bad in half an hour gang! With the dough being made and resting overnight, then shaping and a 12 minute bake, perfectly do-able for 1/2 hr in school and 1/2 hr at home cooking time / wk. Well done all. @Grange_Cheshire@Food_Grange
