"It’s important to have old hands with the young ones," added the former international Dominique #Wacalie, assuring that the team’s strength is "the spirit".

"The finalization of this list was made in relation to the various groupings, trainings and interviews with the players. It is what allowed us to make this decision," said Dominique #Wacalie.

"We’re taking players who are ready physically, but also mentally," he continued, praising a mix of "experience and youth", like the selection of #Hienghène striker Bertrand #Kaï (38), but also that of the new AS #Magenta defender William #Rokuad (20).

"We respected everyone’s choice. But yes, some players could have been in the group, but did not want to be vaccinated," he continued.

In order to comply with "metropolitan and Qatari regulations", all the players and staff who will be leaving the Caillou have a full vaccination passport.

This was "the sine qua non condition", says Fédération Calédonienne de Football manager Noam #Tein. As a result, some players who were not vaccinated could not be selected.

"@USConcarneau are playing for a place in @Ligue2BKT and @uacfootofficiel are fighting not to go down from N3… We’ll have to adapt," says Noam #Tein. It’s a permanent discussion.

The players playing in #France could therefore be "blocked" by their respective clubs. "The manager and the head of delegation have been to France and have already cleared the field," says FCF President Gilles #Tavergeux.

On the future new captain to be appointed

"There is a discussion with the staff, depending on what we see on the pitch", said Dominique #Wacalie.

"It will be the player who brings us up in our project, but also in the life of the group thanks to his experience."

"We will take advantage of the facilities in #Nantes and Antoine #Kombouaré’s advice so that we can work on what still needs to be done," said Gilles #Tavergeux, president of the Caledonian Football Federation.
