"Big 6" fans are hilarious, love to give it big about how massive their clubs are and how much richer they are than the rest, then act surprised when the "smaller" clubs start demanding higher fees for their players!
@damdam1 Putting this on your owners is mad by the way, ire should be aimed at UEFA and PL who are trying to create a closed shop, doesn't matter who owns you, could be Elon Musk the outcome would be the same...
@sturae229 In fairness it's near impossible for anyone regardless of wealth, the moment you have success you'll be asset stripped by those above. The 14 are there as player farms, nothing more.
@AdamFulwell_ I think in fairness they had a good taste last season with Isak and lost targets off the back of a successful season. Success or failure outside of being one of the big 6 usually means you'll be asset stripped at some point. Is this by design? Funny its the ESL teams benefitting
@Julaybib92i Wow your idea of football is so much fun! 6 teams get to be successful whilst everyone else "knows their place"! Sounds amazingly sustainable in the longer term!
@BookofAEGIS Don't even think they need to have an unlimited spent, there just needs to be a limit for ALL teams, anchor it to the highest earner, if an owner of another club wants to underwrite the difference let them!
@InnTooned@JacobHorsfall_ The league will die, the rate Championship clubs are losing money isn't sustainable, if new owners are not allowed to invest what's the point in buying? Eventually it'll just be the 6 playing in the Super League they always wanted.
@InnTooned@JacobHorsfall_ I don't disagree there are many like that, Mike Ahsley was one when he was at Newcastle too no? How long do fans carry on turning up for a product that seldomn offers rewards though? How can success be enjoyed when it'll be ripped away quicker than it was earned?
@InnTooned@JacobHorsfall_ No I think more than that do, Villa, Forest, Everton and Newcastle want to compete, Palace have always cucked for the 6 but even they must have limits losing players all the time? There are lower league teams that'd push as well?
@Johnston0204@TheMagsNUFC@MsiDouglas On a basic level, set a cap for all teams, all teams can spend x on wages and all teams can spend up to x on transfers, balance it against what the top earning team takes in and if non-6 owners choose to underwrite the difference let them?
