@AmbientSynthy Next time, hit him with a brick. Seriously though, if he can't handle such a reasonable boundary, there are probably other problems. Make him do counseling at least. If ny husband did that EVEN ONCE thered be hell to pay and I have no previous trauma.
@ZachWLambert I mean.. I would honestly have a hard time getting involved with a man who believed fully in a book where the law says that the punishment for rape is having to marry the victim. Or whose god told his faithful to go ahead and rape all the virgins of a people they conquered.
@AleMartnezR1@ZachWLambert @M_Wayne_Brown It's not at all ridiculous. Every woman I know has been sexually harassed and/or assaulted. There may be, out there, some women who have lived so unusual and blessed a life that they haven't been. But it is utterly commonplace and endemic.
@ChristineHillCo @JessGrose Schools have to be our babysitters, because most parents work, and children can't be just left to themselves (anymore, not like when I was a kid).
@JessGrose Yeahp. My kid's school runs all sort of really amazing events for parents, especially around neurodivergent kids and tools for them. At 9 a.m. on weekdays.
@Henry3Studios2@Skysong2015@AbortionChat Except something goes wrong in pregnancy a whole heck of a lot, and even moreso before modern medicine. Something like 20% of women in childbirth DIED before the late 1800's.
@Henry3Studios2@AbortionChat If pregnancy isn't a medical condition, why did I have to: Go to a doctors appointment every other week? Get bloodtests at those appointments? Give myself shots to my stomach every day the last 3 months of my pregnancy? Deliver in a hospital with 2 doctors in attendance?
@Brettheepi The thing that doesn't work about this conspiracy theory is that if it were true, the government would be killing off the people most likely to support them and leaving alive the people most likely to be a problem for them and that seems like a poorly thought out plan.
@EverlastingMan4@missyeblack@ponygirl923 For centuries, marriage has done little to keep women from being thrust into single parenthood, or worse, tied to an abuser. Also, women don't necessarily want to be married or have babies. And even wanted pregnancies can end up requiring an abortion. So they'd still be needed.
@Lo_is_MEE Backwards here. We purposefully don't have TV's in our family room or den. Family time is not screen time. Master and Kiddo bedroom both have TV's.
@Cerra__ .. Thats... that's a lot of sheet changing. Once a week is enough. I would be surprised if a lot of people regularly managed once a week, tbh.
@wonderartsy Never heard of summer flu. Did hear about 'summer colds' (because they suck the worst) and 'summer complaint' which is what my mom called the upset stomach/digestive issues that came when it switched to really hot.
