@12parks @newscomauHQ That’s the whole problem. “Grey area” becomes a licence to treat identical conduct differently depending on who did it and when. Rules mean nothing if consistency disappears the moment a big name faces a big game. You call that discretion. I call it a two-tier system. #AFL

@12parks @newscomauHQ Getting off on appeal doesn’t magically erase what happened. The strike was still found intentional and off the ball. The penalty changed because of “exceptional circumstances”, not because the act suddenly became acceptable. That’s exactly the inconsistency I’m talking about.

That’s not a clean slate, mate. That’s someone who’s been fined before and finally crossed the line again

Nine others were suspended under the crackdown. Neale got the escape hatch. That’s exactly why people are calling it inconsistent. #AFL
