This is officially the OLDEST galaxy ever discovered!
It formed just 290 million years after the Big Bang - a baby! The galaxy, JADES GS z 14 – 0, is part of JWST’s sky survey looking across the sky for these primordial galaxies. Because it’s the oldest known galaxy, it’s now also the most distant known galaxy.

unless acted upon by an external force.
