On this #WomensEqualityDay, we remember generations of brave women who won ratification of the 19th Amendment 101 years ago and the often unsung women of color whose fight for decades more was answered by the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
To honor them, we must #RestoreTheVote.
On this day 173 years ago, voting was affirmed as a constitutional right for all citizens, regardless of their gender.
But we’re still fighting for voting rights. Obstacles to voting remain to this day, especially for voters of color.

“Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women.”-Maya Angelou
#WomensEqualityDay
#WomensEqualityDay marks the day women—mostly white women—officially gained the right to vote.
Today, we still have so much more to fight for, especially as voting rights for women of color are under attack.
We won't give up until all women are truly equal in America.
