A beautiful holly blue butterfly on British bluebells in our garden yesterday.
Another new species for our garden 🥰
Excited to see what else turns up this year and carry on my garden photography project.

5/4/26 #OrchidsofRhodes - We’ve filled our boots with a veritable bounty of outstanding #orchids today but my highlight was this pair of busy Eastern Festoon #butterflies. We don’t just do orchids y’know!
Don't forget to grab your 2026 Wild Woolley Friends Calendar.

This isn't a nature reserve (although that might be debatable now!) This is actually our garden and this morning I counted 4 gatekeeper butterflies fluttering between the oregano and marjoram. As well as large whites, brimstone & red admiral butterflies

@1lolamarina Oh no, that's not good, although the racoon is cute. I thought it would be a really bad year but most of the plants are able to withstand the dry and hot spells and bounce back and the invertebrates are loving it.
Even the tiniest pond can make a huge impact!
Staff member James recently added a tub pond to his small garden & the local wildlife are loving it!

Happy FrogFriday
I accidently disturbed this beauty the other day whilst filling the bird baths.
I didn't know it was there until it hopped onto the pebbles at the edge of the pond where it sat for a little while before hopping off into the wild area next to the pond.
