The Albanese government has announced that live sheep export by sea will be illegal from the 1st May 2028. And importantly, this date will be enshrined in law during this term of government.

Labor’s clearly feeling the heat of a massive community & Greens campaign to end skyrocketing HECS.
But to be clear: this is not cost of living relief.
Labor *chose not* to make the changes that would have put money back in your paycheck this year.
Australia has one of the least affordable housing systems in the world. That’s what the government’s own report said today. In fact Aus has the 2nd highest rent increases and biggest mortgage costs of advanced economies. It gets worse….
If the Government does not listen to the 260,000 Australians calling for fairer HECS debts, they will hear them at the ballot box next election.
I urge the Government to make HECS debts easier to pay off.
Over decades we’ve made it harder for young people to get ahead
With the current rate of HECS indexation you may find that despite making payments all year your HECS debt may be higher at the end of the year than at the start
Time to address growing intergenerational inequality
HECS debts are set to increase by 4.8% in six weeks unless the Federal Government urgently intervenes.
A person on $60,000 with an average HECS debt will see their debt increase by $1,177, despite having paid off $1,200 over the year.
Time for urgent reform.
Under Labor, student has now increased by a whopping 16%.
That's an average of $4,000 of debt added - wiping out what you're repaying.
At the very least, Labor could stop debts from spiralling from stopping indexation.
Student debts will go up another 4.8% in June.
That's billions of extra debt burden for people already struggling.
This is a low blow to people during a cost of living crisis.
We've got to wipe student debts. Now.
I have been asking @AlboMP & @MarkDreyfusKCMP to call a national emergency cabinet to coordinate crisis action incl. urgent review of sentencing laws & getting rid of character references for perpetrators. End the good blokes defence, time for mandatory sentences. #EnoughIsEnough
Deeply embarassing for someone who describes themselves as an expert in economics to apparently miss the fact that countries and states around the world cap rent increases. And no, I don't trust an economic system that has created a massive housing and rental crisis.

Tonight, Donald Trump is holding a billionaire fundraiser to pay his mounting legal bills.
Here are some of the scammers, racists, and extremists funding Trump’s failing campaign.

Good on him. Not a gripe, a response to the arrogant entitled pos who use disability car parks.
A motorist who took matters into his own hands over a common parking gripe has called out the car park staff’s response.

It's a scam.
It's a money laundering racket.
End it, @AustralianLabor@AlboMP. Bring back the CES.
