So I've been using this all night and it does work fine, although it will set your audio to hdmi uncompressed if you use Dolby or whatever.
That's me then, because there is now a wireless chat mic that works on Xbox. GG @TurtleBeach

@Riskit4TB If that were true he'd make sure we had decent access to wireless mics as well as wired. In reality he's just like any corporate goon and is all about the pr.
@chyld989 Yeah I've been using it. It does seem to have some connection issues but turning off and on one or both parts seems to rectify it. I do wish it were comfier on the ear though.
@chyld989@1andDon3 The real piss take was always that using a wired mic sent the chat wirelessly from the controller anyway. Why couldn't we just use whatever that uses?
@chyld989 It has the same controls as the other mics. The booklet tells you to put the slider all the way right otherwise game audio does seem to come through. Having mic monitoring on made it just have a high pitched whine so I turned that off. Not sure why it did that.
@chyld989 It seems better. Haven't got any one on to test it with at the mo but in a solo party the overlay comes up to let me know I'm speaking so that's already 1 up.
@Tubbernaut I went and got one, it did want to do audio too but putting the slider all the way right fixed that. I don't have any one online to chat to at moment but it registers when I speak so that's a plus. But yeah it does seem to recognise it as a headset and set it hdmi uncompressed.
@majornelson@SteelSeries How about instead of yet another wireless headset you ask them about making just a wireless mic version to finally fill that gap?
@moneyrumble This would be me on the day Xbox say they are making a wireless mic version of the headset or even that generics can be used just like wired mics
