Have you thought about where airborne microplastics accumulate in mountainous environments? By using collectors on 5 mountains, it has been found there is a greater presence of airborne microplastics on the leeward side. This could have a localised impact on fragile ecosystems.

I've been locked in at home writing my dissertation but I couldn't miss the beautiful bank holiday weekend. We went to the Peak District and I was thoroughly beaten up by a Joe Brown E2 offwidth
I should have chosen my first grit stone lead better but now I'm ready to get writing

My 500th route apparently. Felt fitting to climb a local micro sandstone route, A Certain Ratio E2 5b.

Finished the flattest ultra I've run to date and holy moly do I miss hills. Started falling apart after the marathon distance.

Beautiful trails in a beautiful location, Dunwich. I don't think I'll be giving up hills any time soon

Less than ideal conditions on Crib Goch over the weekend. At least we had the right equipment and experience to enjoy it.

It is scary seeing how unprepared people are when doing this ridge especially in adverse conditions.

Snakes and Ladders is an adventurous journey through the Denorwic Slate Quarries. The route weaves it's way through caves, vast pits and up ancient ladders and chains. It was a humbling experience seeing the remains of the quarry and passing through the historic landscape.

Breaking the Barrier E1 5b. This route was "recommended for breaking the E1 barrier". The bold start led to thin climbing protected by micro wires until at half height. Anything protected by micros shouldn't be a first E1, maybe rockfax are trying to scare people off the grade🤣
