By not passing the SAVE Act, @LeaderJohnThune has infuriated the Republican base. He is going to cause the House of Representatives to flip to the Democrats. You will lose your Speakership.

By contrast, ony 1/3 of the Senators have to defend their seats - and most of the Republican senate seats to be contested are in deeply Republican states. So the Senate may remain in Republican control.

Trump said he is not going to use federal DHS/ICE agents to police local rioting in Democrat cities unless they ask for help.

He is however, going to use DHS/ICE and, if necessary, the US MIL to protect federal property.
