@Janebon34813396@DarylBooker14 These are used mostly in movies, propaganda, etc & are not robotic at all. No electronics, motors, wires, etc. Certainly we will need to worry about it someday, but current robotic technology is still nowhere close to even replicating a believable working arm let alone a body.
I do not understand how so many people completely misunderstood the policy updates about linking to other platforms. Cross-posting was clearly still allowed, the change applied to account meant solely to traffic people away and onboard them to alternative networks.
@littleapostate It’s crazy for me to think back to being a very young kid, looking to my father, and already knowing “wow. I cannot wait to become that” only to grow up in a time and society where every institution rails against it.
@oliverdarcy Is it? That’s not a comparable platform in any sense. Also virtually nobody links to the source TikTok, they just post the video directly here.
@hlb54@oliverdarcy Cross posting in general is still fine, this change only affects accounts whose sole purpose is to try to onboard users to an alternative social network.
@hlb54@oliverdarcy Trump has an account here. An account that exists solely to repost content from TS to here on behalf of Trump might get tangled up in the web, but this is easily remedied.
@oliverdarcy It’s a stretch to call an account that exists solely for the purpose of onboarding Twitter users to your own alternative network “content”. They aren’t blocking links to these networks, just accounts that exist solely for that purpose.
@ScaryRaptor22@Intel_Sky TBF I have no details on how intel is sourced, vetted, or disseminated via this particular account, it rarely incl. sources or accompanying media which may indicate automation or preference for speed. In that case, biased may be attributable to the originating source.
@ScaryRaptor22@Intel_Sky For whatever reason, a majority of OSINT accounts openly take sides instead of dedicating themselves to a neutral & accurate portrayal of information. That is their prerogative, of course, however it certainly colors the quality and accuracy of the intel.
@MarioNawfal My take is that @elonmusk’s handling with the ElonJet situation is that suspension is a more transparent and rightly-guided approach then to go back to shadowbanning practices. These threats are a concerted effort to force cracks back into the moderation practices at Twitter.
