.@sveltejs@SvelteSociety Thank you for having a kind ecosystem. I appreciate all of your bugs, issues, and feature requests on the open source projects I help maintain. Without you the projects would not be as strong as they are today! 🎉💪
.@LowLevelTweets left out the most important part of securing your npm in his latest tanstack video. Having a separate GA env that has access to your push is what NPM has been attempting to force for months. Not understanding all the different moving pieces is what is causing issues.
Claude Code wiped our production database with a Terraform command.
It took down the DataTalksClub course platform and 2.5 years of submissions: homework, projects, and leaderboards.
Automated snapshots were gone too.
In the newsletter, I wrote the full timeline + what I changed so this doesn't happen again.
If you use Terraform (or let agents touch infra), this is a good story for you to read.

@theo thought thru t3code, he is designing it in a way that scales long term for high level developers... And I know he is already thinking about this, but if you can stick the landing on the hand-off between tooling... he will have landed a goldmine!
I had a conversation with my Dad about the same sort of thing!
He was at Ford during the transition between drawing parts and using a computer to draw the parts... His story ends up with them needing MORE engineers because of the backlog and how much more they could do by adding more cars etc.
More then the bubble, its showing the economic gap and the knowledge gap all rolled into one.
Its not cheap to run most of these tools, especially when the cost of living is so high!
AI data centers consume massive amounts of fresh, potable water—rather than recycled or wastewater—primarily to prevent the corrosion, scaling, and biological growth that would destroy their highly sensitive, expensive hardware. While it is technically possible to use non-potable water, doing so introduces contaminants that require expensive on-site treatment, making high-quality municipal water a cheaper and more accessible option for operators.
Been working on a ton of open source @sveltejs projects recently. But today is the first day that I added something shad-cn specific: https://t.co/D36gn3wlLK
The first of many. Great work on the documentation @huntabyte for the registry! 🥰
I have a senior this year who is trying to decide where to go to college next year.
Let me just say… that FASFA is some bullshit.
Make too much for any grants, yet we live paycheck to paycheck.
It is sad that what kind of education you get is determined by how much money your parents make. My kid deserves so much more than what I can afford.
@zenbrowser You broke all my workflows with the latest update. Having 4 monitors and 3+ windows open each with their own meaning... a heads up with some documentation on what to do different would have been nice...
