Charles I, king of England, Scotland, and Ireland, was executed on Tuesday, 30 January 1649 outside the Banqueting House at Whitehall.
Charles famously wore two shirts so as not to shiver and appear afraid in the cold January weather.
We are very lucky to have a replica 17th century wedding dress on loan for our Wedding open day this Sunday.
Free admission for this event.
