@elonmusk@RealJamesWoods As usual, there is no limiting principle to this argument. If the USAID budget was $60 billion, for example, then NOT spending $100 billion or $1 trillion was also “killing children.”
@RoKhanna@friedberg "But men should not be allowed to buy politicians with their wealth and skew the laws in their favor."
Name names.
Who are the criminals in this scenario - the people petitioning their government or the politicians doing their bidding?
@mtaibbi If people cannot pass wealth to their families, they have little reason to save, invest, build factories, buy machines, or improve technology. Instead, the incentive shifts toward consuming everything before death. This idea would result in massive human suffering, but whatever.
@mtaibbi Another batsh!t crazy idea from the Left. The gov’t seizing your lifetime savings is terrible, but what these folks never consider is how this would completely change our economy.
@mtaibbi The correct response is: “I don’t care.” He doesn’t want to be judged by the content of his character. He wants you to shut up. He demands that you accept his position on every issue, prostrate yourself before him, and pretend it’s virtue.
And none of it will ever be enough.
@avidseries Really? And the public reaction to THIS building is what prompts you to make such a sweeping statement?
One of the "positive" architectural reviews basically said that there have been other works of art/architecture that people hated, but eventually grew on them.
@JenniferSey About 2 seconds ago, Democrats were complaining about being called “socialist.” Now they’re running on it. Calling them “commies” is just getting ahead of things. BTW, if you’re a socialist, why does the word “communist” offend you?
@wil_da_beast630@SwipeWright The Left doesn't even remember the arguments. Recently, I had to jump on the other side of an environmental regulation argument and explain Tragedy of the Commons to a Lefty.
@cliftonaduncan I thought the “old” white iPod with the click wheel was an absolute work of art. In fact, there is a lot of human creativity going into product design (and has been for a long time).
