Never served, but I’m proud to be a certified VA caregiver for my 89-year-old father — a veteran, survivor of multiple plane crashes, and my personal hero. Going to the VA where I live could be 1 hour, or 2 depending on what it's for. Community Care has come in handy so many times.
The VA system isn’t perfect, but leaders like Collins seem determined to improve it. Unfortunately, some politicians who constantly claim to “care for veterans” disappear when real accountability and action are needed. To make just every single thing political must be embarrassing for her. Shameful.
And finally, @Johnny_Joey thank you for being a TRUE patriot, a voice for veterans, and an example of what love of country actually looks like.
