Have used this account on and off half-heartedly for years and have finally realized twitter is just not for me! If you find me here, know I won't post often (if at all) so connect with me on facebook or instagram instead https://t.co/OF7QiRnQKd With love Caylin (Forest Schooled)
And they were learning these things with their whole bodies, not just with their minds or with a pencil in their hands. They were also having a whole lot of fun, a powerful component when it comes to developing attitudes towards learning...
But how well do we know our nervous systems?
How well do we know how our bodies and minds react in times of stress? And in times of relaxation? What does it feel like to be dysregulated (stuck in a threat response even when that threat has passed) versus regulated?
I watched the children slide down the hill, run back up, slide down the hill again, and run back up over and over and over again. They did this almost nonstop for about an hour. It looked exhausting!
