Sap flow sensors are used to measure movement of water in the sapwood area, which can inform plant water use. 💧
We got to learn the ins and outs of the science behind the sensors and participated in an installation demonstration.
We attended a workshop on sap flow sensors & stem and leaf psychrometers from @ICT_Int_AU
The @LUQLTER TEE has been instrumenting the plots with sap flow sensors in the main stem and roots to understand how #drought will affect water movement and quantity in trees.🌳

TRACE goes to the @LUQLTER Annual Meeting👩🏫
This event is a great opportunity to learn about new #research, make new collaborations, and reunite with TRACE alumni. We gave 8 talks, with a mix of independent research, #data exploration, new project proposals, etc.

Ari will be presenting on his independent project at the Luq-LTER annual meeting. We are excited to learn more about his results and hope to collaborate with him again in the future. (2/2)
TRACE bids goodbye to our resident fun-guy! 🍄👋
We want to devote this #fungifriday to our intern, Ari Puentes. In 4 months he helped with TRACE tasks & completed an independent project on movement and connectivity of fungal mats! He was also responsible for fungi posts! (1/2)
