It’s National Maritime Day! To help seafaring personnel transport goods across the seas without picking up hitchhiking pests, we recommend keeping containers at least 50 meters from trees to prevent egg deposits on containers from invasive pests.
First report of the fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda in the Canary Islands, Spain.
The pest may have been introduced from the African continent by strong winds at the end of March 2020.
