So I get anxiety attacks now. That’s a new and rather unpleasant development from the last three months I haven’t tweeted.

It would be a negative reaction. Most of us today were introduced to Sonic as kids because it was accessible to kids. Just because we are older now does not mean we should rob the kids today from jumping into the series just because we are now older. The series should be for all.

“I’m writing a novel.”

- So is everyone.
- People ask what it’s about.
- You’re really just on Twitter.

“I will eviscerate you in fiction!”

- A terrifying response.
- Suggests a quiet violence.
- You marry the person who replies with “I love A Knight’s Tale!”

Unpopular opinion: the first sentence is given too much weight in craft manuals and lectures and whatnot for people to worry over in a first draft.

Slap down whatever works for now and keep going. You can polish that up to a shining hook once the rest is out.
