I hope every parent and child who comes to the gym takes the time to listen to this message. An incredible message and something for us all to learn from. #STRONGBODY#STRONGMIND
Wanna get stronger? Lift!
Wanna get faster? Sprint!
Wanna be healthy? Eat healthy!
Wanna get good grades? Study!
Wanna be a leader? Lead!
Wanna see more love in this world? Love!
Wanna make a difference?...
MAKE IT!

Note for max testing this summer
Most non-advanced lifters (i.e. 90% of the athletes you work with) will fail a max attempt due to technical breakdown and not actually a lack of strength, especially in the squat
For many, one-rep maxing is not the best way to measure strength
Don’t let a big win/big loss get in your head. When it’s over, it doesn’t matter anymore. Life goes on. The work still continues & there’ll always be another game. Get back in the gym. Continue to get better & stay dedicated to the process. The process is never about the result!
@jstorck67@storck_nicole Nicole is one of the hardest workers you will ever meet. I would describe her w words like determined, focused, grit, and very motivated. It has been a lot fun watching her grow into a special athlete.
Stop measuring commitment by your willingness to do what others expect or require of you. Instead, measure your commitment based on exceeding the expectations, & requirements you set for yourself.
#SecondaryToNone
This is so true and this is what we mean when we say Strong Mind. The people who learn this will also be the ones during the game who will be ready and never give up.
Motivation comes & goes. Some days you want to work until you can’t. Other days, you don’t feel it. That’s when discipline comes in. Learn to be so disciplined that your motivation level won’t factor into your work. Keep doing the hard things, especially when you don’t want to.
Toughness is a skill! Hard to teach, hard to find & hard to beat. Whether it’s physical or mental toughness, you have to learn to build it & use it. With the confidence that comes from toughness, you become not only more teachable & coachable, but also a better player & teammate!
Players: Coaches never need to hear you TALK about how good you are. SHOW us. Every rep, every drill. Every lift. Every practice. Do extra. Be extra. Get extra conditioning. Come early, stay late. Even when you don’t feel like it. Especially then. That’s what coaches want to SEE!
