Story time for EVM builders:

When the iPhone debuted in 2007, it came with mild confusion... Where are the buttons? No full tactile qwerty keyboard? 1) What?

At the time, the platform tech preceded application tech.

Think about mobile games up to 2007-- actions were confined to button presses. A few phones had a tiny ball roller or trackpad, and the phones of the future were big and chunky to afford greater button real estate (hi, sidekick!).

The iPhone brought about a shift in the way that users could interact with the in-game experience. Touch-based gestures and a built-in gyroscope offered 360 directionality, zooming, and tilt capabilities... all gave way to new interactions that (while confounding at first) brought about the next generation of games!

TapTap Revolution was 2007, Scoops was 2008, Angry Birds was 2009.

Fruit Ninja debuted in 2010. It was a game changer. Swipe the phone screen to slice fruit? Genius. It was a simple, new style of game play. You couldn't replicate the speed and simplicity of that gameplay that with previous phones no matter how many buttons you had!

It took a few iterations for adoption of the iPhone to become the ubiquitous prototype of all smartphones since it's inception. But now, we can't imagine a life without it.

Sometimes apps take time to fully utilize the technology available to them. New design spaces require new ways of thinking, developing, and creating. All of which take time.

Monad supports 500M gas/s. That is a huge amount of onchain compute. And a huge design landscape for onchain game-changers.

What new apps will the future bring? I'm willing to bet that most of those game changers are likely not even here yet.
