What was this large structure on the near northwest side of Chicago? It looks absolutely enormous. Was it near goose island?
Saint Adalbert Roman Catholic Church in Chicago was designed by architect Henry J. Schlacks. Its interior is modeled after the papal basilica of San Paolo fuori le mura in Rome.
There was construction on northbound Halsted Street, which was a blessing in disguise because we wound up at the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. A kind employee saw us gazing at the building and welcomed us inside for photos + a nearly 30min convo about machine politics.
