NO MINORS/DNI
I want to be the one you turn to when your battery is low. The one you lean on when you can’t find the words to say what you feel. The one you think of when you want to share your triumphs. The one you call at night when you’re having trouble falling asleep. The one you message when you want someone to do things with. The one on your mind when you think about your future.
I want to be the one.
I think this idea can and should be applied to relationships and friendships.
Hear me out:
A lot of people focus so much on the end goal that they stop being present in the moment. They stop taking time to really learn the other person, and that often results in losing a connection or giving one up because they aren’t giving you “what you want.”
I’m not saying you should waste your time on people. But it feels like truly connecting and enjoying each other has become a lost art.
I get wanting friends or finding a partner, but if you keep just trying to speed run to those outcomes, then you lose the pleasure of being *with* the other person.
