Meet... Emma Jane Champley
Emma graduated in jewellery & silversmithing from Loughborough College of Art and Design in 1994 before moving south to work at a leading studio in London’s Clerkenwell, just around the corner from Hatton Garden. She spent ten years in the big smoke of London, learning about the jewellery trade and honing her making skills. In 2004, she moved to rural Ireland, specifically to beautiful county Carlow, which is now her home.
What advice would you give someone who is considering this craft career?
Don’t worry about getting every aspect of the business right from the start, everything will evolve and improve as the work develops with you. Enjoy the ride!
