Official account of the Squirrels, 1919-2014, kept open for archive purposes. Will tweet about football & Hillsborough. Follow @Formby_Fc_ for reformed club.
@Alarsenalnews_ Arsenal fans always blame someone else for a defeat rather than look at themselves. Got away with Saka’s handball for starters. But, ultimately, if you go into any game with the aim of not losing rather than trying to win, you get what you deserve.
@themagic_tophat There’s a difference. Arsenal hadn’t won anything. As it stands now, they still haven’t. We spent a lot in the summer but also sold well so it’s net spend you should look at. Arsenal’s record transfer fee received is circa £35m. They haven’t ever sold well.
Roy Wade Cup Final
Formby Fc v South Liverpool 3rds.
So it's a repeat of last years cup final, can Formby win the Roy Wade cup and make it 3 years out of 4. Or can @SouthLplFC_LCPL the league winners do the double, What ever happens it's surely be a great game of football.
@AFCAMDEN Arsenal fans doing Arsenal fans here. Placing their side or achievement at the top of lists they make up.
This has clearly been a poor league this season. Anyone who saw 3rd v 4th on Sunday saw a match between two average sides.
Formby Fc 5-3 The Arc. Great first half performance from the lads today, going into the half time break 5-0 up but took our foot off 2nd half, but managed to see the game out, and book our place in the final next week against SouthLiverpool

@indykaila Yes, their precious “Big Six”. Sky will be in mourning, Carragher would no longer be able to bang on about it.
But you’ll see Everton fuck it for everyone by beating West Ham today and losing to Spurs on the final day of the season.
Congratulations to Bobby and the players on promotion after a remarkable campaign. That they are one step away from a return to the @nwcfl is remarkable. Up the Squirrels. 🐿️
@Bartlebeans His dad could not come to terms with the fact that he was at Hillsborough with Philip yet was unable to save his son. I can’t imagine trying to live with that. He’s a victim of the disaster too.
Today we remember Philip Steele (15) from Southport by placing three red roses on his grave at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ainsdale. Rest in Peace Philip. #JFT97#Hillsborough#DontBuyTheSun#YNWA
They are not just 97 people. They are not just the 97.
They are mates, dads and lads, couples, parents, sons and daughters. They are people, loved and cherished.
Every one of the 97 people who died at Hillsborough has a story. Never Forgotten.
Today we remember Christopher Barry Devonside (18) of Stapleton Road, Formby. We placed three red roses on his grave in St Luke’s Church, Formby. Rest in Peace Chris. #Hillsborough#JFT97#YNWA#HillsboroughLawNow
