@NotKibilo@Shiitekarlsson same pts/60 at 5v5 as Sanderson. Also, how do you explain that every one of the lines hes on (Kleven/Sanderson/Zub) have the best metrics on the team?
He also leads the league at Dangerous Fenwick% against elite competition. He doesnt get much of it, but thats coaching.
@Nntarno555@yolo_pinyato@AhoyMcavoy73 Thats what im saying tho, they're not reaches because they have skill and out produce their peers. The sens drafts are full of reaches because they draft for size. Thats what got us Gabriel Eliasson / Ben Roger / Filip Nordberg in the second rd.
@yolo_pinyato@AhoyMcavoy73@Nntarno555 This seems to be the canes entire draft strategy. They have selected 2 forwards over 6 feet in the past 3 years (out of 16 picks). Nice set of players.
My sens on the other hand, have selected 2 forwards under 6" in the last 4 drafts (12 picks). Kill me.
@ShackTS Yeah if Staois moves Spence for some big lunker, Im out. The main reason our offence wasnt 30th at 5v5 this year (as it was the year prior) was bringing Spence in.
We had the best xGA in the entire league, why the hell do we need to get an upgrade in the top 4! makes 0 sense.
@politicstcan Braden Schneider is the most confusing player. Why do people think hes so valuable? I dont understand.
That might be one of the worst trades I've seen, and its from a fan of the team proposing it. Crazy.
@therealab224@biracialchud Carrier is literally a better player than Schneider. Why would you ever do this lol.
and you'd trade your rookie who just had 22 goals, and a 1st????
Shneider is just a replacement level big dude.
@SensBuzz how does that improve the team though? We had the best defence in the league last year in terms of xGA. Parayko adds literally nothing offensively. So we just upgrade the D a bit (zub - Parayko), which takes away from the offence that Spence offers? It makes no sense to do.
@whistlemyjasper@DLee075 Caufield was second in the league in goals this year. Sazuki is about to win the Selke. Hutson was 3rd in Dman scoring. Those are all stars.
@92MDumont92@SlafGoalZki@timstutzleglazr Why? Its just the timing of injuries. A team can be more injured on game 1 than on game 20. Playing in the playoffs doesnt magically change that fact. In fact, its one of the biggest reasons teams win the Cup (they get lucky and have better health than their opponents).
@yolo_pinyato meh, they were decimated on the back end tho. Sandy just got back from injury and was terrible (concussed during the series too). Zub out immediately. Chabot with a broken arm. Kleven out first 2 games and playing injured.
I didnt take much from the series due to that.
@dropgloves10659@senstalk_ Yeah but does that actually work? Stu had a pretty underwhelming defensive year. Peterka is REAL bad defensively. Not sure that makes sense.
hes coming off a down year, and was horrendous in the playoffs. I think theres better fits out there. Id spend a bit more and get Kyrou.
@bigpinuslinus@politicstcan Cant pair Klev - Zub together. That'd be an offensive black hole on the back end. Put Yak with Kleven for a year or 2, similar to Nikishin in Carolina. He can run the 2nd PP.
I think once hes ready you can pair him with Sandy, Zub with Chaby, and Klev and Spence.
@BrackzyAndJay@NathanGraviteh@yolo_pinyato Hutson is the same age as Nemec. Both these guys were already scoring ~70 points at that age, and both had very good defensive metrics. Hutson had a rough start his first year, but quickly figured it out.
@Straws777@jackrichrdson@poitrasenator Again, I feel like you didnt read my comment. Chabot had the 5th most 5v5 points last year in the entire league for dmen. The team had virtually the same record as this year. The numbers were good, on a good team.
@Straws777@jackrichrdson@poitrasenator Kleven grades as a 0 % in offence in a few models. Hes never going to replace Chabot. If you want a backend that cant clear a zone / transition the puck, sure. Kleven is Zub replacement if anything, but Im not sure he'll even get there.
The only reason hes serviceable is Spence
@Straws777@jackrichrdson@poitrasenator Chabot had the 5th most 5v5 points in the league last year for dmen? Hes still elite. Hes our best 5v5 offensive defenceman, easy.
Yeah that team was bad but it wasnt on those guys, They were the only pair with a positive goal diff. We had Hammer playing big minutes lol.
