@KayfabeCow@Awk20000 Destiny quickly retracted the statement, in context.
Ian wasn't saying this wasn't a joke, states it was fact and this is someone who knows Ethan personally.
Fuck around, Find out. Hope Ian's got that go fund me ready.
It’s striking how these victim statements often sound scripted and uniform — the repeated emphasis on “our loved ones” can feel almost like a prepared hostage note.
What concerns me is how certain voices in positions of power then weaponise that genuine grief to shut down any fair or reasonable criticism of the wider issues.
There is a palpable shift in public mood. More and more ordinary people are becoming deeply frustrated. I do not condone the violence that occurred in Belfast, but if those in authority continue to ignore legitimate concerns, I genuinely fear where this will lead.
Simply burying our heads in the sand won’t solve anything. Cracking down on every protestor won’t solve it either.
This tension will only keep growing unless politicians and institutions start properly listening. As more disturbing incidents come to light and nothing meaningful changes, more ordinary, previously moderate people will feel pushed toward radical positions. That benefits no one.
It ultimately depends on age, intent, and context.
The individual in this case essentially earned himself a Darwin Award. If he had been 18 at the time, the outcome should have been far harsher.
This wasn’t some random street fight, it was a school sponsored sporting event. Regardless of who started the verbal exchange, the conflict ended with a stabbing. The central question is:
Why did he bring a knife to a school track meet in the first place?
That single decision reveals intent to harm.
You don’t carry a knife to a high school athletic event unless you’re prepared to use it.
For a 17-year-old, a sentence of 35 years to life is appropriate. If he had been 18 or older,
the death penalty would have been justified.
@DestinLegarie That's life, Xbox had a good conference and looks like they've righted the ship,
However all these companies have failed hard.
Ai is coming for you. Office jobs are first.
See, that wasn’t hard at all — a reasonable, well-presented opinion. It’s one I largely share, just from a slightly different angle.
I’m no fan of forced DEI slop (Netflix is the poster child for it),
but Idris Elba is a genuine national treasure. That said, he’s simply too old for Bond now, and from what I’ve heard he was approached about it once and turned it down because of the toxic backlash it would’ve brought.
Wow. Over reaction much.
You don't know me miss, I'm assuming here that your name is Karen, and I think if you looked at my timeline for 5 seconds, you would know that your spouting nonsense you absolute trout waffle.
My point is let's get it out there, yes Idris Ebla is black. Congratulations you have eyes that see.
If they cast him I would be upset because I know for a absolute fact. That man would nail it, and his comments reinforce that fact because he gets it.
You Miss, you absolute deflated tyre do not.
@BasilTheGreat The politics of privilege. Dictated from the ivory towers were supposed to seal clap for.
I swear, these people lack self awareness on a scale I find offensive.
The SNP must face a Westminster investigation as UK taxpayer’s money may have been swindled, the ex-Tory Scottish leader has told LBC.
