Things that triggered the left this week:
- a clean reflecting pool
- a name on a building
- a murderer getting convicted of murder
- a sporting event at the White House
- a successful IPO
- welders and janitors becoming millionaires
SpaceX raised only $12B of capital before going public. With that $12B, they revolutionized the rocket industry, built a global satellite network, and created arguably the most innovative company of all time.
The federal government spends $12B every 15 hours and still can’t get its shit together. Prior to SpaceX, NASA was sending astronauts into space on Soviet-era Russian Soyuz capsules.
So no, I don’t find Elon’s wealth to be a problem, and I wouldn’t trust Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders to allocate a single dollar of it.
If she wasn’t working for Elon Gwynne Shotwell would be hailed as an incredible success story and the most powerful woman in aerospace.
Instead it’s radio silence from the media
🚨BREAKING: A new independent national poll shows Alberta independence support has surged to 40.9%.
The sample was smaller, but unlike the major polling firms, this wasn’t another narrative-driven poll designed to demoralize the movement.
The new Parliamentary Budget Officer is doing her job. She's calling out Carney's bullshit.
"The budgetary deficit is projected to average around $64 billion over the next five years, with the debt service ratio reaching 13.1 per cent by 2030-31,"
"The growth in Canada's economy is moderating. Projected real GDP growth of 1.1 per cent in 2026 and 1.6 per cent in 2027. New measures in Budget 2025 and the SEU 2026 add $68.4 billion in net new spending between 2025‑26 and 2030‑31, putting additional pressure on federal expenses."
In other words, the economy is stalling, and Carney is not addressing Ottawa's out-of-control spending and borrowing.
@Heccles94 1. You didn't answer her question.
2. If thats how you feel, go put in the work and build a company to the size Elon has instead of whining on X.
And then every year, sell 5% of your equity in that company and give it to the government as a donation.
When I said this throughout my campaign, CNN people called me cruel and unhinged. Now, after they helped secure the election for the 2 dorks responsible for all these problems, CNN is now echoing my campaign talking points as gospel. Fascinating!
If you really need to hate rich people, if that’s your jam….. Go for it.
But at least be consistent.
I don’t hear a PEEP from Canadians who tweet about Elon complain about Mark Carney. A man who’s using your tax dollars and your old age funds to personally enrich himself at Brookfield. He’s using Canada’s money to make himself a billionaire while more Canadians than ever are using food banks and can’t buy a home.
If you’re going to rip on Elon, then you should be LIVID about your prime minister.
At least Elon uses his own money.
I think possibly the best thing about Elon Musk becoming a trillionaire is how angry it makes a bunch of losers who've never built a thing in their lives.
President Trump told Fox News he will ask Iran not to respond against Israeli strikes that targeted Hezbollah.
Trump says he asked Israeli PM Netanyahu "what the fu*k are you doing?"
The President believes a deal with Iran will be electronically signed in the next 2-3 hours.
🔥 Jeremy Clarkson had a fiery clash with BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire at the farmers’ protest against Reeves’ inheritance tax raid on family farms.
Victoria went straight for the gotcha:
“So it’s not about you, it’s not about your farm and the fact you bought a farm to avoid inheritance tax?”
Clarkson, visibly stunned:
“Classic BBC there, classic. The ‘fact’ that I bought a farm to avoid inheritance tax? The ‘fact’?”
Victoria doubled down: “You told The Sunday Times in 2021 that’s why you bought it?”
Clarkson, laughing in disbelief:
“These people… BBC. Let’s start from the beginning. I wanted to shoot. That’s even worse to the BBC. Which comes with the benefit of not having to pay inheritance tax.”
He pointed out the tax isn’t even an issue for him personally as he can simply put the farm in a trust, but he’s standing with ordinary family farms that will be hammered.
After sparring over the real numbers affected, Clarkson urged the government to U-turn.
Victoria: “And get the money from where?”
Clarkson: “Walk into any of the offices around here and if you don’t understand what somebody’s job is, fire them.” 😂
Classic Clarkson.
Azealia Banks will say anything for notoriety. In this instance, she says that the man who was almost beheaded by a Sudanese migrant deserved it because he’s ugly. How disgusting.
Hasan Piker wants us to ignore reality and believe him when he says Elon Musk is a failure.
He doesn’t want us to be inspired be Elon’s success and the value that he has brought to this world.
He wants us to resent it and think Elon got lucky. He wants us to idiotically think that Elon failed his way into a $1 trillion net worth.
He wants us to think Capitalism is bad and doesn’t work. So he has to lie on Elon Musk to try to get us to think capitalism is bad and socialism is good.
On September 7, 2005, a hostage rescue mission was launched to free Roy Hallums, a U.S. contractor held captive in Iraq. Operators from the U.S.
Army's Delta Force, transported by the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR), raided a small farmhouse located 15 miles south of Baghdad.
Hallums had been imprisoned in a cement cell built under the farmhouse floor, a breathing tube providing him air.
Delta Force operators broke their way into the cell. Finding Hallums, one of the troopers asked him, "Are you Roy?".
"Yes", he replied. "Jackpot!" shouted the Delta operator, letting his team mates know they had found their man.
Hallums long nightmare was now over and he was soon home with his family.
