Why run into spring when you can ✨slug✨?
Muir Woods isn’t the only place in the GGNRA where you can make tiny new friends! Rains, sprouting foliage, and the moisture retained by the bluffs have created quite the habitat for Banana Slugs!

The arches at Fort Point are not just beautiful, they were feat of ingenuity. They take the weight of the 102 canons that used to be here. Now, these arches can be a fun and exciting place for our local photography community to test their angles.

Today’s theme for #NationalParkWeek is gratitude and we want to embrace the attitude of gratitude! We want to remind our visitors to be kind to our furry and feather friends and appreciate them from a distance by staying on trails and practicing #LeaveNoTrace principles!
One amazing thing about being a ranger is having people pass down traditions to you. Here we have Ranger Alejandro showing Ranger Carmen the old tradition of how to tie a hat band. Now Ranger Carmen will show the next generation. This is the way.

One of my greatest accomplishments that I have had working here has been my ability to bring my culture to show in places we often don’t feel seen.”-Ranger Xotchitl. We all have a #MyParkStory so we encourage all our visitors to share what they are with us! #NationalParkWeek
Have you ever read something exciting that you just had to tell everyone about or write it out? Well, that’s one of the many experiences our rangers have when we are researching for new programs! Come discover something new today! #NationalParkWeek
Each year, we celebrate #NationalVolunteerWeek to recognize the contributions of our volunteers. They work side-by-side with employees in parks and programs across the nation to help preserve our nation’s most precious natural, historical, recreational, & cultural treasures.
