๐ฅ TRAINING SCENARIO ๐ฅ
Our crews successfully rescued a casualty utilising new smoke hood equipment after navigating through a smoke-filled building putting their BA skills to the test supported by other firefighters!
Thermal imaging cameras help us to see through the smoke
We carry smoke hoods on our fire appliances allowing crews to deploy these as a critical tool for casualty rescue enabling us to protect the wearer from harmful products in the air when moving them from โclean airโ through smoke filled buildings to safety

Our highly skilled firefighters carry out a range of work which include promoting fire safety, responding to chemical incidents, road traffic collisions, building collapse, rescues from height and inland water, as well as responding to fires.

Even in high summer, all waters around Scotland are cold enough to induce cold water shock. Cold water can affect your ability to swim & self-rescue.
