"Life in Perspective: The Art and Power of the Annual Life Review" comes out Nov. 3 in hardcover, ebook, and audiobook
This book distills nearly two decades of practicing annual reviews into a step-by-step method for making sense of where you've been and getting clear on where you're going
It covers why starting with gratitude matters more than starting with goals
Why your body knows the truth before your mind does. And why real growth happens on the scale of years, not days
What makes Fable so impressive isn't its intelligence, but its diligence
It is just relentless at refusing to let one little open loop go unclosed
I wonder if from this point it won't be about models getting smarter, but about them becoming more and more unstoppable in their determination to get the task done
That would very much mirror what's important for human success
It’s no longer possible to live a decent, even middle class life in the US without being neurodivergent
You’ve either gotta be an autist with preternatural technical ability, or have hyperfunctional ADHD such that you can massively multitask, or have an artistic or mathematical gift
In other words, you have to be an extreme outlier on at least one scale, because first globalization and now AI have completely gutted the middle of every normal distribution of humans that exists
Your ability to generate economic value now depends on being “out of the distribution” in some way. This is why the weird are inheriting the earth
The GenAI economy has generated $110 billion in sales over the past 12 months. It is growing fast. On an annualized basis, the revenue run rate exceeds $175 billion.
These numbers took us several months to construct, and as far as we know, it’s the first bottom-up, deduplicated measure of consumer and enterprise AI spending across the full stack.
We are releasing this research today in our first The State of the AI Economy report.

I feel like in my lifetime we’re going to see the colonization of Europe
European economies will continue to shrink, deindustrialize, overregulate, and fail to innovate
Eventually they’ll be so poor compared to the more advanced economies that they’ll become a low-cost labor pool, ripe for outsourcing from elsewhere
At some point land and assets will become so cheap that it will be trivial to come in and buy up homes, property, companies, and whole industries
Already happening in some ways. And I don’t see anything turning it around
Imagine what would happen if every referee decision were subject to litigation, outside influence, and appeal
Every match would become a political battle with larger, wealthier, more powerful countries bullying smaller ones
Disgraceful
So if we’re honest, the Balogun affair is a clear example of unbridled favoritism, corruption, and cronyism right?
It’s basically Trumpism applied to the World Cup, in other words
Searches for "second brain" have exploded over the last few years due to AI
The vertical line is June 2022 when my book by that name came out
Now search volume is more than 6x higher
Pricing for the Second Brain Membership goes up on July 10
Join before then, and you lock in today's rate ($649/year or $225/quarter) for as long as you stay

AI is moving faster than any one person can keep up with alone
But keeping up shouldn’t be the goal. It's to get into a better position now that it's here
I already have a Second Brain
And the more I've sat with how AI is changing the way we work, the more I've come to believe that the system alone isn't enough
The missing piece is having people around you who are figuring it out at the same time
Nobody has AI figured out
And working through it alone in your own filter bubble is the worst way to do it. You want people to compare notes with, test ideas against, keep you honest
So we've rebuilt our Second Brain Membership around exactly that
Your implementation partner for the AI era, with a community right there alongside you. Each month, you go deep on one theme and build it into your real setup, with people doing the same work. You finish with something real, then move on to the next
What's inside:
• Monthly Implementation Sprints: one focused build each month
• Monthly Masterclass with me: I walk through what I'm testing in my own workflows, live
• Weekly Implementation Sessions: build alongside other members, leave with real progress
• Expert Workshops on AI, productivity, and knowledge management
•. The Building a Second Brain Community on Circle
• Bonus: the official Second Brain Notion Template
Here's what Philippe, a Civil Engineer and Climate Advocate, said after two months inside:
"I came in already familiar with the frameworks. I'd read the book, implemented PARA, had a Master Prompt running. I thought I knew what I was getting.
Two months in, I've switched from ChatGPT to Claude, reworked my Master Prompt entirely, and built a working HTML app at my job with zero coding background.
That felt like crossing a line I didn't know I could cross. Sharing weekly wins in the community forum has become its own practice"
