@price_dominie@thereal_SnS I wonder if I could find a MSF or UNFAP/WHO open source manual on APIs/generics (and hope ivermectin is on it). Now youโve given me an interesting path to pursue. Thank you.

@price_dominie I am hoping we can set the right incentives and overcome this capability gap. Weโll always find trades maintaining automation, calibration and testing.
Im more concerned with our defense manufacturing base. Itโs way too inefficient, way too expensive, way too slow.

Admiral mamasan of the ten cent fleet, i donโt need to pay for low grade work.
Youโve failed to identify a single launch point viable against a single base without deploying forward of your population centers for PLAAF.
PLARF, maybe, with severe restriction on maneuver.
*Galaxy brain*
PLAAF will launch strikes from depth
Do you understand what an IADS is? What is the range of said platforms fielded by PRC?
Go on, be specific. Tell me which launch point and US base?
Is that why PLA/AF/NAF bases are located away from their population centers?
The content of screenshot is basically saying โwe donโt know from unclassified reports.โ So I donโt know what is your point here.
And you can find a list of bomber bases that are quite comfortably located further inland. From which the bombers can take off, fly well within friendly IADS and fighter protection and release long range stand off missiles.

Where will PLAAF Cold War era mothballed bombers take off from? In the most contested IADS env?
Where is Chinese population density concentrated?
Who will control the escalation ladder?
Read their own doctrine below.
PRC has no option but TFS.
Here's a demo to the new feature of my website visualizing PLAAF bomber fleet's strike range against US and partner bases in the region.
I think the discourse around PLA's strike capability always seems to miss the PLAAF. By some estimates, the PLAAF operates the world's largest bomber fleet by airframe count with most of them being built after 2010.
Given the proximity of US and partner bases to mainland China, the bombers are going to be able to deliver more explosive payload using stand-off munitions vs the PLARF.
Of course, the bombers and their bases are more vulnerable to preemptive strikes if the PLA is not the one taking the initiative. But I do think they are a critical pillar of PLA's long-range fire and should be given more attention when discussing possible conflicts in the West Pac, SCS or even the Indian Ocean.
@TheWanderWit Go learn the concept of employment envelope and logistical footprint.
Then go identify potential TRPs up and along the coast to cover strikes against US bases.
In this case, it would come down to persistence of PLA ISR platforms to provide OTH GNC.
PLARF coastal capabilities are static and would be extremely vulnerable to mobile CB fires.
Donโt count us out just yet.
As always, never underestimate the will of the enemy to fight.
US military planners must ask themselves how many missiles China can stockpile before launching their counter-base attacks on US positions in Asia. Thatโs the scope of the counter-base threat, not your estimates of current inventories.
