Students are calling for the administration to address the students in an open meeting, rather than the words of condolence on emails .

Yesterday night took everybody by shock in IIT Patna. Within a 12-hour span after being admitted in the ICU, we lost one of our own peers - Dewanand Pandit, a PhD student from the Mechanical Engineering department.

The students are demanding an answer from the administration who were supposedly late even in being informed of the student being admitted to the ICU. Neither was the deceased’s family alerted nor was any timely action taken, says Dewanand’s friends who accompanied him to NSMCH.
