Excellent flight to Dubai thanks to @emirates and superb service at the e gates at Dubai passport control.
Funny how my passport clears e gates swiftly and easily in other countries but not at the U.K. Border, where I end up in the seek assistance line every time! @border_mgmt

AI technology will be rolled out at our borders in 2027 to crack down on illegal migrants who pose as children to claim asylum, dodge detention and avoid removal from the UK.

Just to be clear, any views and interviews posted or reposted on here are our own and do not represent the views of any political party.
Immigration and Borders has always been a political hot potato. We believe in firm and fair border control and strong border security.
We provide advice to both the public and private sector based on our significant depth and breadth of experience in the business - with neither fear nor favour to the government of the day or to any political party, at home and abroad.
We also believe in freedom of expression and we regularly appear in the media when asked for our views - and we recognise that not everyone will agree with our assessment of things.
And we will continue to defend serving officers (who are not allowed to defend themselves publicly) from unjustified attacks by ill informed commentators.
And - unlike most of our critics - we do not hide behind fake identities when communicating on social media.

So as things stand the chances of getting to stay if you come by small boat are still pretty high, I’m afraid.
‘Pushing the problem up into the beaches of Belgium.’
GB News Home and Security editor @markwhiteTV reveals a migrant boat has launched from the furthest away beach ever recorded, as people smugglers attempt to outsmart French police patrols.
