Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, has appointed IPS officer Ms. Ananya Awasthi as the Police Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the Governor of Odisha.

As Odisha’s first woman ADC to the Governor, her appointment marks a historic milestone in women’s leadership and empowerment.

The Hon’ble Governor conveyed his best wishes for her successful tenure.

If your body is strong enough to bear this divine journey, I urge you let your own two feet be your chariot. Walk. Let the sacred mountain path touch the soles of your feet, not just the hooves of a burdened Horses/Mules.

These gentle horses and mules, who carry us in our moment of devotion, are often left to suffer and die on these very paths. Their silent cries of pain are a heavier burden for our souls than any mountain we climb.

Also sharing a video of 72 year old women who took the walk of 22 kilometers to Kedarnath instead of riding on Horses/Mules

Any Tirth Yatra which causes any harm to anyone in anyway may not be right way to do it, Dharmic experts should comment more and advice about the Dharmic way to conduct a Tirth Yatra.

The pigeon is that type of bird; wherever it goes, it eliminates all other birds. It completely destroys the entire ecosystem.
The pigeon is the only bird that has adapted itself to urban life. Pigeons have stopped being afraid of humans. They lay eggs anywhere. Pigeons lay eggs in large numbers and gradually increase their population to such an extent that all other birds begin to disappear. Since the birds that prey on pigeons in the ecosystem, such as hawks and eagles, have become very few or almost non-existent, pigeons are multiplying rapidly.
While other birds are becoming extremely rare or even extinct due to the terror and menace of pigeons. Moreover, pigeons have spread several dangerous diseases to humans and animals. Recently, a person died in Surat and Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and when the investigation revealed that the death was caused by a pigeon, everyone was shocked.
Several diseases can be spread by pigeons, including histoplasmosis, cryptococcosis, psittacosis, and hypersensitivity pneumonitis.
Incidentally, the pigeon is not a native Indian bird; it came to India from Africa and has completely taken over, driving other birds to extinction.
The Jain community, which has been campaigning for years to feed pigeons in Mumbai, needs to understand that it is more important to save thousands of native Indian birds like cuckoos, sparrows, mynas, bulbuls, parrots, kingfishers, and lapwings, which are disappearing from cities and towns.

@IndianGems_ To be precise, one can get full refund for cancelling a RAC ticket even after charting, 30 mins b4 departure.

In fact, after boarding the train, seat may be provided to RAC traveller subject to vacancy.
As a passenger, I’ve always found it a useful means for emergency travel.

Also, the trash and eatable waste attracts animals like Dogs and cattle to the tracks.
Having ridden the Engine, I’ve seen how heart-wrenching it is to see such innocent animals being run over by trains while the helpless locopilots keep trying to apply brakes and honk whistles.

Donkeys are among the most abused and neglected animals in our country. People take endless hard work from them, loading them with unimaginable weight, and once the work is done, they are left abandoned on the roads to eat garbage.

In cities, where there is no grazing land, these poor souls are left without food, without water, without care. When work is needed again, the same owners catch them, exploit them, and then abandon them once more. This cycle continues until the donkey breathes its last.

It is heartbreaking, it is cruel, and yet there are no rules or regulations to protect them. These gentle beings give their strength and labor to help humans earn a livelihood is it too much to expect that in return, they are given food, water, and basic medical care?

Their suffering is silent, but their pain is immense. We must raise our voices for these voiceless souls, because they deserve dignity, compassion, and kindness too.
