This Morning, the County Allocation of Revenue Bill 2025 and the County Public Finance Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2023 which provides for the Financial Autonomy to County Assemblies were assented by His Excellency Hon. William Ruto, PhD, CGH at State Lodge in Homabay County.

County assemblies have been urged to pass legislations that will boost fairness in allocation of affordable houses. Sen.Miraj Abdullahi said PWDs and marginalized communities should also be included. Counties have been giving out land for the development of the houses.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Hon. Musalia Mudavadi has urged MCAs to encourage citizens' involvement in governance and promote peace. He further challenged leaders at the Summit to ponder on having a peaceful nation at all cost.

Chairperson CAF, in his address, appreciated the Senate's approval of the financial autonomy bill. He said the Bill was in the 2nd reading in parliament. Bill anchoring CAF into law is in the 2nd reading in the Senate. It'll be expedited within a year.
