The Scottish Wildfire Forum is a multi-agency partnership who are working to prevent wildfires and limit the negative impact they have on the Scottish landscape
A special day for 10 new @fire_scot wholetime firefighters who graduated from @SFRS_Training today and now move on to stations across the East SDA. Great to chat to the trainees and their loved ones. Welcome to the Fire Service family, all the best in your new careers.
Looking forward to taking delivery of these all terrain vehicles as part of @fire_scot significant investment in tackling wildfires. Based on risk we are training Firefighters and positioning new vehicles, equipment and PPE across Scotland in support of our Wildfire Strategy.
We're delighted to have worked with @nature_scot@ScotGamekeepers & @ScotRMG to create a Scottish Muirburn Training Course.

The risk of wildfires in Eastern and Southern Scotland is ‘Very High’.
Taking simple steps can help prevent vast damage to the environment and protect emergency services from attending avoidable incidents.
See our summer safety pages for more details: https://t.co/dVygSkMytO
Members of @moorlandforum and its Muirburn Code Working Group visiting Clunes today. Drizzly but very worthwhile, with issues pertinent to the proposed Muirburn License discussed. Many thanks to @ScotGamekeepers for organising.
As we are now into the weekend, and the weather for the next couple off days looks settled, @fire_scot crews in highlands have been in attendance at a few wildfires, those who do control burning, please notify fire control, enjoy the countryside, be careful and be aware
We need people to join Scotland’s fight against fire, deliberate fire setting is an offence, don’t accept it report it. SFRS sees an increase in the amount of outdoor fires over the spring season these take firefighters away from other incidents and could put life at risk.
I'm walking 11,000 steps a day in March for Prostate Cancer UK. Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, killing one man every 45 minutes. It doesn't have to be that way.

It’s been a challenging 24 hour period for our firefighters, control staff and officers who have been dealing with a number of significant wildfires. Please exercise extreme caution and think twice before using disposable barbecues or lighting campfires.
