Extremely grateful to @rlcmrf for supporting our translational neuroscientific work to isolate & target the core mechanisms of #addiction, which is highly stigmatised & needs urgent attention to help vulnerable affected individuals in our communities, & make a positive difference
Important statement from the RCN today: "We do not support a move toward generic nurse education models... The College remains protective of all nursing fields..."

Men have murdered 10 women this month, but the silence is so deafening it feels like I am screaming into a void.
Early this morning, police found a woman stabbed to death at her home in Quakers Hill, NSW. A man was found outside the property with critical injuries. Another man went to a local police station and has since been arrested.
She is the 10th woman killed in December, the 73rd Australian woman killed this year and the 178th woman killed since January 1 of 2024.

In 1992 Peter Ratcliffe received this rejection letter from Nature.
His findings were not "a sufficient advance in our understanding".
27 years later he won the Nobel Prize for the same discovery.
Don't lose faith in the things you believe in.
