Even in retirement, I still enjoy the journalism tradition of compiling my Year in Photos. It was a year of lots of miles and lots of playtime. Enjoy my look back on 2022.

About 50 people participated in today's Prevention Starts Here Mental Wellness Awareness Event and Walk hosted by @PartnershipCC1, Suicide Prevention Network & @pdc_douglas. The event raises awareness of local resources available for healthy self-care and mental wellness.
@kmcannonphoto@reviewjournal You & the RJ team have done an amazing job under unimaginable circumstances. We work so hard thru our careers to keep ourselves out of the story but Jason’s piece helps remind ppl of the real humans behind this job. That humanity matters & we’ll be thinking of you all thru this.
Northern Nevada skies will remain dramatic this week as firefighters continue to make progress on the #Mosquitofire. Thinking of our neighbors and all the public safety peeps working nearly 100 fires around the west.
Time to go fishin'! Tomorrow night will be the true full Sturgeon #supermoon, but I decided to play a little bit tonight for the photo of the day.
It'll be the fourth in a row and the final supermoon of 2022.
"Semi-retired" means I get to pick the fun stuff to shoot and skip all the paperwork and meetings! Here's my view of Carson Valley Days carnival for the photo of the day. #WhyCV
Our sixth road trip of 2022 is in the books after about a week of playing in the Arc Dome Wilderness. Tons of wildflowers, babies of all sizes and shapes and no people – perfect kind of escape! #HomeMeansNevada
We headed up to Monitor Pass for the Super Flower Blood Moon lunar eclipse. The clouds almost skunked me on the eclipse but they sure made for an amazing sunset. Two cameras pointed in opposite directions for a bit tonight!
Hundreds gathered at the Capitol today for the 25th annual Nevada Law Enforcement Officers Memorial ceremony. Seven new names were added to the wall, bringing the total to 144 Nevada peace officers who have died in the line of duty.
When you only weigh a pound or so, a spring storm in Nevada can make things a little dicey. Here's a gusty gaggle of goslings for the photo of the day. #nvwx
