Top is perfect because it's nice and balanced
The left side is good because you have your laser in your field of view, so you won't hit stuff + Both of those allow you to see the settings on your laser.

It can clearly be seen on the surface of your screen, the only guess is which way it goes and since you have only 2 choices it's unlocked in less than 10 seconds
