@imLunairis At first I thought you might be studying different designs for diversifying concept art, but if it’s indeed for a customisable I’d be curious to see what options you go with! It would be nice to have a customisable that can actually be fitted to my character for once x)

@Galchapon @silvenaah In my case it did. With a CMO3 you can copy the Mesh and its movement (actual layers from the art) AND/OR Deformers (basically deformation folders) and Deformers can be used on a different artwork to a degree

If something is rigged on a Mesh you can’t copy it without the art

@Galchapon @silvenaah In most cases it could go unnoticed since the mouths are drawn very simplified, but the models had very vibrant red lipstick with a shine, vbridger, and the same rigging errors (mouth being slightly assymetrical when open and bad tongue out turns) which led to me noticing it :(

@silvenaah When I was just starting out as a rigger I couldn’t be bothered to do so and just provided the CMO3 with the completed model, but my very first commissioner ripped off their model’s mouth and pasted it on THEIR commission. Now I do not provide the CMO3 without trust AND a big fee

@silvenaah Insurance! Having the CMO3 file may allow you to basically reuse parts of their rig on a completely different model. That’s why some riggers don’t provide the CMO3 at all, and some do a 50-100% fee as a person who intends to do that probably won’t pay so much twice.
